The Baby Lock Sashiko Specialty Sewing Machine is designed to replicate the hand-stitched look of traditional Sashiko embroidery. Sashiko is a hand-embroidery technique that uses a long needle and thick thread to create decorative topstitches. This machine features a specialized needle system with adjustable stitch length and spacing settings to mimic the hand-stitched effect. With a specialty stitch mode, you can also create decorative couching, braiding, cross-stitching, and attach trims. The stitch and spacing can be controlled between 2mm and 5mm, and the presser foot height is adjustable for smooth, free-motion embroidery. The built-in accessory storage provides easy access to your tools. The Sashiko machine works best with special sashiko thread, embroidery floss, or cotton embroidery thread, preferably 30-weight or lighter.
LED MONITOR
This unique system makes it easy to recognize when the needle is creating a stitch or a space. The blue LED light signals that a space is being created, and a stitch will form every time the foot control is pressed. The green LED light indicates that the next needle penetration will form an actual stitch. The orange LED light shows that the next needle penetration will create a stitch space. This color-coded system provides clear, visual guidance to help you achieve precise stitching and spacing.

SIDE LOADING BOBBIN

STITCH LENGTH & SPACING
The stitch length and stitch spacing levers are conveniently located on the right side of the front panel for easy access. Each lever has two sets of numbers ranging from 2 (shortest) to 5 (longest). One set controls the stitch length, which determines the length of the stitches on the fabric, while the other controls the stitch spacing, which adjusts the distance between individual stitches. Simply slide the levers up or down to your desired setting by aligning the pointed extension of each lever with the markings on the machine. The levers can be set independently, allowing for customized stitch settings to achieve the perfect stitch for your project.
