You can choose to set a pleat with every stitch, every 6th stitch, or every 12th stitch—or sew without pleating by setting the ruffler to 0. The gathering blade operates with the needle’s up-and-down motion, catching and folding fabric under the needle for perfectly even gathering and pleats, ideal for home furnishings or garments.
