Janome Sewist 721 Sewing Machine
Janome Sewist 721 Sewing Machine
The Janome Sewist 721 Mechanical Sewing Machine is versatile with 19 built-in stitches, suitable for quilting, apparel, and home decor. It features a free arm, a four-step buttonhole, and a four-piece feed dog system for consistent fabric feeding. It includes four presser feet for different tasks and can sew at speeds up to 830 stitches per minute, making it a dependable choice for a range of sewing projects.
The Janome 721 offers the convenience of free-arm sewing. To access this feature, simply remove the built-in storage unit, and the sewing bed transforms into a free arm sewing machine. This makes it easier to work on cuffs, hems, and circular projects. Additionally, the detachable sewing bed serves as storage space for your sewing accessories, helping you keep everything organized and within reach.
FOOT PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT
You can easily adjust the pressure of your presser foot by turning the foot pressure dial. For regular sewing, set the dial to 3. Reduce the pressure to 2 when working on appliqué, cutwork, drawn work, or basting. If you’re sewing delicate fabrics like chiffon, lace, or organdy, set the dial to the setting mark 1 for optimal results.
The sewing light above the needle provides ample illumination to your sewing area. With this bright light, you can work without straining your eyes and ensure that you never miss a stitch.
FOUR PIECE FEED DOG
Janome’s four-piece feed dog, located below the needle plate, works in harmony with your presser foot to smoothly feed the fabric through the machine. This feature ensures a consistent fabric feed, preventing layers from shifting as you sew.
SNAP ON PRESSER FEET
Switching between presser feet on the Janome Sewist 721 is a breeze thanks to the snap-on presser foot adapter. To change the presser foot, press the lever to release the current foot, then align the new foot just below the foot holder and lower the presser bar. This simple process allows you to quickly switch between different presser feet as needed for your sewing projects.
TOP LOADING BOBBIN
The top-loading bobbin case in the Janome Sewist 721 makes it quick and easy to prepare your machine for sewing. Simply drop your bobbin into the clear bobbin cover, and you’re ready to go. This convenient feature saves you time and minimizes frustration when setting up your sewing machine.
STITCH LENGTH ADJUSTING DIAL
To adjust the stitch length on the Janome Sewist 721, simply turn the stitch length dial to your desired setting. A higher number corresponds to a longer stitch length.
19 BUILT-IN STITCHES
The 19 basic sewing stitches in the Janome Sewist 721 open up possibilities for quilting, garment construction, and accessories. You can also attach zippers, create buttonholes, and sew professional hems with the included four presser feet.
